Launch Creader Elite 2.0 FGC is a multiple-brand diagnostic scanner for Ford GM and Chrysler vehicles. This scanner supports many special functions including Ford key fob programming (add key only). Here we will show how to add a spare key on a 2014 Ford F-150 using the Launch CRE FGC scan tool.
Procedure:
Select Diagnose->Ford->Automatically search
Auto read vehicle information
Select Special Functions->Body->Security->PATS (Passive Anti-theft System) function
Turn on ignition
To perform program additional key function, you must have a working key.
Launch Creader Elite FGC scanner says unable to enter security access.
Launch will bypass active alarm. This procedure will take 10s.
Security access granted.
Then we can program additional ignition keys. If failed to program spare ley. Try erase all keys and program again.
Select Erase Ignition Key Codes.
You must have two keys.
All known keys have been erased. You must now program at least two keys.
Turn the ignition to Position 0.
Insert the 1st PATS key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Turn the key to the ON position for at least 6s.
Then insert the 2nd PATS key into the ignition and turn the key to the ON position for at least 6s.
Two keys are now programmed.
Test both keys. They all working.
Done.
