Problem:
Tried to read a 2021 BMW X3 B48 DME (MG1CS003 SPC5777) with Yanhua Mini ACDP on bench mode (14.1V). Tried to read eeprom, ACDP app reported an error Entering safe mode and cannot communicate with DME ECU.
Solution:
BMW B48/B58 DMEs after 2020.06 are all locked.
If you have the Yanhua ACDP B48 interface board, you need to activate BMW locked MD1 MG1 license A520.
With license A520 and B48 adapter, you can unlock, read and write these locked ECUs.
