I have BMW 116 2014 FEM. Autel IM608 says that version information and that I must restore eeprom data first! someone has reopen fem and desolder eeprom.Any ideas?
Solution:
Yes, you can follow procedure and desolder eeprom to read eeprom around 2-3 times before you can program key.
Remove the fem and read eeprom just following the steps.
Don’t forget to disconnect the battery before you take the fem
It’s far easier if you have the fem/bdc test bench.
If you don’t want to remove the eeprom. There’s a clip adapter on connector that comes with the tool that you can place on top of the eeprom instead of soldering the eeprom off the board. It’s easy but really time consuming.
