Problem:
Tried to add a spare Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2022 proximity. Generated almost every KeyDIY and Xhorse but cannot get aftermarket generated key to add to car. Only original takes – Programming says success every time but my keys not working.
Weirdly Autel was saying pin incorrect right at the very end. Even though it read the pin fine (3373) in step 1
So I grabbed ObdStar and it says fine – keys are added but only original works.
Initially, ObdStar was giving a short beep when accepting original. And a long beep when I hold up an aftermarket but now that beeping has stopped and it just says success every time but my key not taking. Only original.
Here is the clue.
Possible solutions:
1. The key slot to learn the key is on the side of the centre console about where your left knee is. Did one with Xhorse key a couple of weeks ago no problem. Some of our customers had no had issues with xhorse or keydiy on these.
2. Check all remote battery. Change all battery in proximity you need to program, because if remote battery little bit low, you can program it, but proximity not working.
3.Better use OEM key or change another programmer. One of our customer failed with Autel, but SmartPro program fine.
