Problem:
I was attempting to clone a BMW mevd17.2 engine ECU with Yanhua ACDP2. I do have the A51c license and the N55 Bench V2 adapter. Have the jumper switched to CAN-R. My device will not connect to the original or new DME. I get a communication error message. I also get the same error message when attempting to read the ISN from either module. I could read the ISN and data no problem with VVDI prog with no issues by pinout. Any suggestions?
Updated and solved.
by crossreferencing with other tools i was able to determine that my n55 adapter had the incorrect pin orientation on the center board. It was soldered on backwards. I manually made the connections with the pcan cable. I was able to perform the full data backup from original DME and write it to the new DME. Cloning was successful via pcan cable. My adapter was manufactured incorrectly.
